Memories of Youth, Remember?
Remember when we were young and we knew right from wrong. Not in the way that we knew crossing the street in the middle of rush hour would be a bad thing to do. We mean in a way that when we saw injustice or someone being mistreated, we just knew in our heart, it was wrong.
Remember when we weren’t worried about time. The sun would rise, and we would wake up and play all day. When we were hungry, we ran home to eat, and when we were tired, we slept.
Remember when we went outside and weren’t worried about sitting in the grass or getting dirty. When the sand at the beach wasn’t a bother and bugs didn’t even come to mind. We dug in the dirt, rolled in the grass and gazed up at the clouds watching for shapes.
Remember when someone told you that somethings were none of your business and not to be late. At some point, you were informed that the bugs in the grass were yucky and not to get dirty. As you were telling someone of your dreams and ideas, they said to get your head out of the clouds.
4.5 billion years ago the earth was born. Its gift to us, 80 to 100 years to enjoy its beautiful nature and amazing creations. Living in appreciation of a gift of a lifetime.
