The Ease and Flow of a Project
One of our aunts used to say to us, “Don’t make a project out of it.” For the longest time, we found it offensive. As we are getting a bit older and maybe a little wiser, the words are beginning to ring a little more real. We always thought she meant don’t dillydally and perhaps it was what she meant to say. However, maybe what she was saying was ‘Don’t make a project out of it.’ It’s easy to understand. Sometimes people including ourselves make things too complicated when beginning a task. So a new thought on the topic could be the idea of ‘Ease and Flow.’
When there is something to be done. Find the easiest way to get it done, and the activity will flow.
Whether cleaning the house, making Thanksgiving dinner, planning to start a new business or plant a garden each have steps that need to be taken to complete. With all the incredible knowledge available, any activity can be researched to see the best way to go about it.
A prominent advisory to Ease and Flow is procrastination. Procrastination is brought on by not wanting to do something. To handle it ask one question. Do you need to do the activity? If Yes, get it done with ease and flow. If No, go on to something you really have to or want to do.
Life is about doing what you need to do and doing what you want to do. Everything else becomes a ‘PROJECT.’
